The LSU Tigers had no hangover from last week’s huge win over Alabama in a 51-0 shutout victory over Louisiana-Monroe.
Despite the vastly inferior opponent, it was a typical LSU performance in terms of the production from the quarterback position.
Quarterbacks Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee combined for less than 100 yards passing and no touchdowns in the rout. They also finished with negative yards rushing.
Instead, LSU won the game by running the ball and playing great defense, which is the way they first put points on the scoreboard. ( Read More…)

The LSU Tigers used some more trickery from Les Miles for a 24-21 upset of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The two quarterback system worked well for LSU Saturday, as Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee combined for over 200 yards passing and a touchdown.
Wide receiver Rueben Randle had a big day, catching three passes for 125 yards and a touchdown.
The biggest play in the game came in the fourth quarter when Miles rolled the dice and went for it on fourth-and-one instead of kicking a field goal. ( Read More…)

The LSU Tigers simply didn’t have the offensive firepower needed to take down the Auburn Tigers in a 24-17 loss.
The Tigers did a pretty good job defensively, though there is usually very little concern on that side of the ball.
They held quarterback Cameron Newton to less than 100 yards passing, but he was tough to contain on the ground.
The surrendered over 200 yards rushing and two touchdowns to the big, fast quarterback, and that proved to be the difference in the game. ( Read More…)
